Getting the best rental experience:
When to reserve a Georgetown, SC rental & When to go:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season in Georgetown. To get the best value, try changing your family's Georgetown, SC trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Georgetown, SC area visitors guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the best vacation rental in Georgetown:
- Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Cozy Oceanview Villa just steps from beach and pool has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a specific Georgetown, SC destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
