Strategies to get the very best Georgetown, SC rental home experience:
When to reserve a Georgetown, SC rental home & When to go:
- To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Georgetown, SC restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Georgetown, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Georgetown, SC area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the perfect rental home in Georgetown:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Happy Days Luxury Oceanfront Beach Villa in DeBordieu has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is optimal for your trip.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
