Georgetown rental booking tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • To get the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Georgetown, SC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Georgetown, SC area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Georgetown, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose date ranges and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Front Street Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
