Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.

You can also find Georgetown, SC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
