Finding the best Georgetown, SC vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Georgetown. To book the best rental within budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Georgetown, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Georgetown, SC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local tours and attractions.
Selecting and booking your prefectrental:
- Choose a group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Just beyond the dunes Water's Edge is a cozy ocean view villa has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Georgetown, SC vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a certain Georgetown, SC attraction you crave, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
